Psychics and Cold Readings

A psychic is someone who is able to communicate with departed loved ones and spirit guides. They are able to use their powers to help people navigate through life and heal themselves. They may be able to read the future, past and present in order to give guidance to their clients. A psychic reading usually involves the psychic using some sort of tools to channel the message such as a crystal ball, cards or bones. Many psychics are also able to use their mind’s eye to see a vision of their client’s past, present and future. If you have ever had that uncanny feeling of deja vu or premonitions then this could be a sign that you are psychic.

Psychics can use cold-reading to trick their clients into giving them money for a reading. For example, if the psychic says something very personal like that your grandmother passed away and wants to send you love, it can be easy for you to believe as it is very personal and seems genuine. But a lot of psychics are lazy and just throw in the names of everyone they have done readings on before and hope that one of them sticks.

Edward, a mentalist and a teacher of psychics, told us that this technique was common with psychics who were doing psychic shows. They would have their team go to the homes of the audience members ahead of time and take a look around. They would even ask about the family pet and if there was a piano at home. All these details could be repeated back on stage for the audience to see and believe.
