What is a Psychic?

The word psychic means “sensitive to influences or forces of a nonphysical nature.” A psychic sense could be a sudden feeling that a building is on fire, or a gut instinct that leads someone to run out of the room right before a bomb goes off. Psychics are able to connect with the spiritual realm and communicate with spirit guides, angels, loved ones who have passed on, and other nonphysical entities.

Psychics use their gifts to help people in their lives. They aren’t always able to predict the future or make life-changing decisions for their clients, but they can offer comfort and guidance during difficult times. Psychics also can read the energies of other people, interpreting their energy and emotions. They can also rely on divination techniques, like Tarot cards, runes, the I Ching, astrology, palmistry, or other tools to help guide them and organize their intuitive information.

While many of us have experienced a psychic reading at some point, it’s important to remember that the scientific and governmental studies on psychic abilities are inconclusive. In fact, many fraudulent psychics exist who take advantage of unsuspecting individuals.

There are, however, genuine psychics who can provide a positive impact in the lives of their clients and who have dedicated themselves to developing and practicing their skills. Whether you’re interested in connecting with your own spirit guides, communicating with loved ones who have passed on, or just developing a stronger intuition, setting clear intentions and being consistent in your practices can help you on your psychic journey.
